This is one machine that can be described in many words. Some will call it kitsch, the other one will brag. Some will deem a strange model, others on the contrary, a challenge. All are welcome qualifier and strengthens the principle which says that tastes not discuss.

Nick Reilly, the GM President in Asia-Pacific has officially confirmed that his company is planning to introduce a gas-electric hybrid vehicle to the Australian market. Looks, like the best candidate to get a hybrid power-plant in the nearest future is current Holden Commodore sedan, which is also available in the U.S. market as the Pontiac G8 and is sharing its platform with the upcoming 2008 Chevrolet Camaro. I guess Hybrid models are getting more and more interesting.

The hybrid-powered Holden Commodore will have to compete against the Toyota Camry Hybrid, which is being manufactured in Melbourne.

Citroen bet on experience of British SQ Plus that built Alien Citroen C2 in 6 months. The rear bumper and side sills match with the rest of alien style. Xenon headlamps will illuminate every monster in its sight (a mother-in-law too). There are no mirrors and doorknobs – usual tuning move. Stock 16“ rims were replaced with 20“ Toyo rims with low-profile tires and Mr. Chilli’s pneumatic suspension decreasing the Alien’s height.

The wheels replacement caused that fenders needed to be extremely extended. There’s a new wing on the rear window, so the car is now visually longer. Almost whole interior is covered with laminated parts so now it looks like a spaceship. Replacement of transmission allowed removing a central console behind the knob. Its seating capacity was decreased to driver only so the audio tunnel is now bigger.

The tunnel includes three powerful amplifiers and four Alpine subwoofers and behind the front seat you can discover a canister full of N20 gas. The interior is full of powerful speakers; some of them are placed also in the seats too. The dashboard includes five large LCDs that show what’s behind the car and also parameters of audio. And don’t forget that whole car is illuminated with blue neon tubes.

This disco car can produce 15.780 Watts of music power thanks to 20 speakers, 8 subwoofers and 11 amplifiers.

Although it is a very old car, I can’t deny that I really love the look of this special car, called Orca SC7. Orca uses super-light materials to reduce the weight of this supercar as much as possible. The result is obvious, SC7 weights just 850 kg.

Its engine produces 738 ft lbs at 4200 rpm torque and outputs 850 horsepower, which sets power to weight ratio to 1 bhp:1 kg. The production of this Swiss supercar is limited to only 7 automobiles.

The ECS RA4 B5/B6 A4 Complete Clutch Kit is built around the well known and powerful OE RS4 clutch disc and pressure plate designed to handle the stock 380 daily driven horsepower of the European RS4. A direct bolt up to the stock 1.8T crank is made possible by the ECS Tuning custom designed lightweight steel flywheel. Increasing the disc diameter to 240mm over the stock diameter of just 228mm and reducing the combined rotational mass of the flywheel disc and pressure plate increases performance.

V12 Supra Top Secret
Top Secret has been making the show rounds with its twin turbo V12 Supra for the past year, but it’s finally putting its money where its mouth is and going for a top speed of 400 km/h (248 mph) later this year in Italy. Breaching 200 km/h hasn’t been an issue since the boosted 6.0-liter V12 is supposedly pushing out over 1,000 hp.

The latest victim is the hallowed tarmac of the Nurburgring circuit in Germany, leveraged by Vauxhall for the new Astra VXR Nurburgring Edition. It is described by Vauxhall as “mechanically similar” to the boggo VXR.

Just as the ‘Ring Edition’s 237bhp blown four-pot is identical to the standard VXR, its chassis settings have also been left untouched.
